Robert McGinnis (born 1926) – Robert McGinnis is an American illustrator and painter who has designed over 1200 covers for a variety of paperback novels. He has designed over 40 movie posters such as ‘Breakfast at Tiffanys’ (his first) and many of the Bond series posters. His female models all have impossibly long legs, incredibly beautiful, a touch of danger – and for some odd reason, many are missing one shoe(?). The men are all tough and ‘Bond-like’ – mostly private eye types. Robert continues to work mostly for the “Hard Case” detective series of books.
